The living room, situated on the middle (entrance) level of the house, has a plush futon couch which also pulls out into a double bed for extra sleeping. It is enhanced by a woodburning fireplace, which faces the futon, and overlooks the lower (kitchen/dining) level. A large walk-in closet is adjacent to the living room; the cottage's bathroom is also on this level.
