The kitchen is located on the lowest (first) level of the cottage and has an adjacent dining area (separated by the low, wainscotted wall, seen above) that can seat up to six people. The gas range and oven are complemented by a microwave oven and toaster oven as well as the outdoor grill. There is also a walk-in butler's pantry and storage room as well as a utility room on this level; the back door to the house and stairs to the upper deck are located on this level.
